James Reavil has had an interest in dogs since a young child. James has owned a variety of different breeds including Basenji’s, German shepherds, Labrador retrievers, German shorthaired pointers, Hungarian Vizslas and English Springer Spaniels to name a few.
Contact JamesJames has spent several years studying with The Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training in a variety of subjects from common behavioural problems such as separation anxiety, pulling on the lead, not coming back when called to more severe problems such as dog on dog Aggression and dog on people aggression to continually develop his knowledge and professional development. You can never stop learning! James has taken part in competitive obedience, agility, tracking, field trials and working tests (both as a competitor and as a judge), and has achieved awards with both spaniels and HPR’s in working tests and field trials, as well as helping others with criminal bite work acting as an agitator and criminal for working trials training.
James is qualified having achieved an Advanced Canine Behaviour and Psychology Diploma through The Pet Education, Training and Behaviour Council and holds full member status with The Canine and Feline Behaviour Association which is recognised by many pet insurance companies for behaviour issues. He is acknowledged as a Master Trainer with The Guild of Dog Trainers. James has also run numerous training days for numerous gundog clubs and breed clubs across spaniels, retrievers and HPR’s. In 2021, James captained The Hungarian Vizsla Team in an interbreed working test against the other HPR breeds, achieving 4th place out of 12 breeds. In 2022, James became a member of The England HPR Team, which competed at The Game Fair 2022 against Ireland, Scotland and wales.
James has written several articles for Dogs Monthly magazine, several blog pages for others and has worked with dogs in the film industry.
